Transmission 124

There's a lot of room to move around creatively when nobody gives a shit about what you're doing. Some of my favourite memories of playing with the Chemical Spray are the shows when nobody came or even better were the ones where we'd open for some hot shit indie band and we'd get a chance to put their fans through the paces. I could achieve near orgasm shoving our discordant squelch straight into the fragile skulls of those posers. Fuck them. There would be those shows where the audience stood there like drones, their arms crossed in front of them, their tedious haircuts hanging like dead plants from their sweaty craniums, their fuck buddy partners standing beside them bored and ignored and probably worthless in bed, these were the people who inspired us to put some swagger in our stride as we hit the planks. Parker used to look out from backstage at a crowd like that just before show time and she'd say "The floor needs mopping." And we were very meticulous janitors.
